11th of November 2011 (11-11-2011) saw me celebrate my 37th birthday. I had the good fortune to have a couple of days of which meant I had a 4 day weekend.
Jemma planned out a Sunday lunch for all our family. Rather than a traditional BBQ with snaggers and steak we did a BBQ Rib and chicken wing combination. We bought a bulk of different ribs (Beef and Pork) along with chicken wings. Th ribs were done in a Smokey BBQ sauce (Beef ones) and Honey, Soy with Chilli Sauce for the pork ones. The wings were done in a teriyaki sauce.
Along with the ribs we did some potatoes on rosmary stalks, and an asparagus and prosciutto bundles BBQ‘s on the hot grill.
Jemma then put a beauitful selection of dips which she made fresh with her Thermomix. There was a Pea with Fetta one, Broad Bean with Garlic and a Beetroot dip.
The desert was another wonderful creation of Jemma‘s, a Mangomisu. A Tiramisu with the coffee replaced with Mango. It had a lovely mango custard with with mango jelly and fresh cut mango slices. All freshly made with the Thermomix again.
We had everyone over and it seemed that they all enjoyed the afternoon and the food. My deepest thanks to Jemma for making such an awesome day possible
